I’ve never been to the Canary Islands but I imagine it to be beautiful and the kind of place I’d really like to visit. I’ve often thought the best possible way to do this would be on one of those Cruises from Newcastle which is where I live right now. I’d like to set off in the middle of the summer and cruise down past Portugal, perhaps stopping off for some golf along the way, en route to the Canary Islands in the late summer.
Something tells me it would be too hot for me in the middle of summer. And that’s why I’d like to spend time in Portugal first, ideally playing golf which I simply love. Anyone who has played even a little golf knows that Portugal is a paradise with beautiful links courses along the Atlantic coast with cool breezes even in the middle of summer – paradise!
However, late summer is my favourite time of year and it’s then that I’d like to cruise further south to my dream destination of the Canary Islands. Although I’ve never been, something tells me that one day I need to go there to play golf and really really enjoy it.
